Blackmore Parish Church (St
Laurence) is more than just an historic building.
Services are held every Sunday, usually at 11am. The building is open to visitors during the summer and we hold 'Teas In The Tower' on the first Sunday afternoon in the month from May to October. We have a sound-proof room in the south west of our ancient building called 'Rainbow Corner' where under 5's meet during Service time. Climbers & Explorers (5 to 11 years) meet every 2nd and 4th Sunday in the month in our Rainbow Corner. Wednesday Little Ones meet at Church on Wednesdays from 10.45 to 12.15. Brownies is sponsored by our Church. Blackmore Scouts, Cubs and Beavers also attend our Parade Services called INSPIRE! We have a junior singing group called 'Inspire!' and an adult music group called 'Jubilate'. There's a 'Men's Group', who meet monthly to do general maintenance, then socialise in one of our local pubs! We have a 'Flower Guild'. We have a 'Prayer Chain'. We meet during the week in people's homes for 'Bible Study and Discussion Groups'. |

Our Vision:
A Parish where people encounter God. A Parish where people are cared for. A Parish which stands for what is right. A Parish where some people start their spiritual journey and encounter the Kingdom of God. Prayer:
Dearest Father, May the love of the Lord draw us to himself: may the power of the Lord strengthen us in his service; may the joy of the Lord fill our souls; Most merciful Father, you have called us to be a caring church, reflecting in our lives your infinite care for us your children. Help us to fulfil our calling and to care for one another in an unselfish fellowship of love; and to care for the world around us in sharing with it the good news of your love. Amen. |
